Giorgio Napolitano: Towards common EU policy Bruxelles, 04.03.2010 During its visit to Brussels the President Napolitano meet the president of the European Parliament Mr. Buzek and Italian members of the Parliament, later today. Seems that the visit of the Italian President was more interesting to the medias and lobbyst within the Parliament than to its own MEPs. Several MEP's presented briefly they current work on both European and national level and underlined the importance of Europeanization. Among key speakers was MEP Borghezio, representing Lega Nord who said: " We, from Veneto, we are Europeans with criticism. Our regional identity is threathen to be erased. Our language is marginalized and will be even more marginalized in the future." MEP Borghezio also mentioned that Italian MEPs and Italians in Belgium need a cultural centre where their children can study italian language. " We are bad users of structural fonds of the EU" - added MEP Borghezio finishing its addressing to the President Napolitano. The President Napolitano remineded all present MEP's of the importance of Englargement process and its possitive concequences for EU. He also spoke on Lisbon Treathy as opportunity of growth and making EU more stronger and unified. As for EU-Italy relations the President Napolitano stressed that Italy was one of the foundators of the EU and as such must be a strong institutional player within EU.

© Presidenza della Repubblica During its visit to Bruxelles, the President Napolitano will tommorrow 4th of March pay official visit to the European Parliament where will meet italian MEP's and Presidents of EU political parties. The representatives of European Development Centre will participate in meeting with Italian president.

© fotoarhiva FK Napredak Today was signed agreement on cooperation with Municipality of Šid, Municipality of Vašica, Football club "Napredak" from Vašica and European Development Centre and Central Union of Serbs in Germany. With this agreement inicitiated by Managment Board of FK Napredak and representatives of EDC, was given start to collecting of fundings for young boys and girls in this remote village of Serbia. Bearing in mind difficult situation of rural areas in region, younsters are facing difficult living conditions and absolute lack of any kind of social activities. Small village of Vašica doesn't have no library, no cinema nor any kind of possibilities or permisses where these young people can meet. The central and unique place of socializing is local Football club "Napredak". Without showers, without equipment, without nets or football ball these boys and girls still run on the green field but we can help them by joining our forces in this initiative and provide them with suitable equipment, T-shirts, shorts, football balls, bags... The scope of this actions is to stress the importance of the development of remote parts of Serbia and to promote healthy, sport life for our children. Because sport combined with Youth stimulates team spirt, working togehter and better future to all and this action is the best proof for it.
